Rias Baixas Albarino Wines

When Spain’s Rias Baixas Albarino wine region decided to market their products on a global level, we joined forces with creative partners Campbell/Zeman and Cornerstone Communications to help Wines from Spain introduce this exciting, undiscovered white wine.

 

The theme we developed, “eXceptional with everything. or nothing.” promotes the wine’s ability to work perfectly with all kinds of foods, or on its own. And it makes the most of the “X” found in their hard-to-pronounce name.

 

In addition to fresh, informative ads and collateral, we designed a fun, easy-to-use website that brings the theme to life. Whether you’re a wine novice or a full-fledged “foody and wino”, you’re covered. The site offers everything from “Wine Appreciation” tips to a “Featured Recipes” archive to a “Food and Wine Paring” section, each using interactivity to deliver the kind of information that will keep people coming back to the site. Within the “Wines” section, you’ll find an interactive list of 27, with tasting notes for each. Another interactive section lists all participating wineries, offering background and regional info for each, as well as links to their individual web sites. There’s even an “eXchange Ideas” blogging area. The entire campaign - including www.RiasBaixasWines.com containing all of the above - was successfully launched in early Q1 of 2006 - just four months after the project kick-off.
